First Think Tank Studio Song Writer Meet up and Brand defining Questions...

The First Song Writers Meet Up for Think Tank Studio

The meet up on July 22nd 2018 was a success. We had about 8 different people who want to be involved in the music industry and were curious enough to see what we had in mind. What we found was we all had different talents that ran alongside our passion for song writing. We realized we all had a different talent that we leverage as artist in order to do what we love.

One of the questions we all addressed were what do we do? For work and for our goals. It was a lot of 9 to 5 and side hustles. We brought mentions if we mixed and mastered music, did photography, edited articles, or helped people grow their brand. The thing I started to realize is that we were already so close to being a full production team with our side gigs that if we worked as a whole we would be able to run an entire event on the 8 people we were just meeting.

I promised to send out an email within 48 hours of the meeting and that time has come and passed, but I haven’t forgotten about it. I had some personal life happen outside of the music world that needed my attention and it required attention and humility.

I am writing this blog to drive home the idea that people are waiting to be called on, We are waiting for people with similar interest to show up and be a part of our movement but we aren’t making any moves…

Like my lack of a follow up email.

The time for action is NOW.

If I can promise anything, it is that the world will give you back what you put out. You must define your goals and pursue them as if you were pursuing a career in anything else. Develop the skill, practice, and advertise. We can’t rely on content alone but pairing with attention is helpful. If you don’t know where your audience is or what to give to them try answering these questions

Who are you talking to through our art?

What value can you bring to them freely and looking for nothing in return?

How does the information you give relate to human needs and values we all face on some level?

What is important to you besides your own art and brand?

Is there a trend you really like and follow or specialize in?

Who influences you and why?

If you answer these questions you will be a step closer to being able to define your brand and draw the attention you need to be a factor in your vision of success.

Personally I like to help people find out how to get things done and thats why I write about what I write. I am already a social person and I am able to relate and also examine the world around me and I like the idea of holding keys to unlock doors for people around me, not for power, but for the ability to see them be their own saviors and trend setters.

If you are an artist trying to build a brand
